Terms of use

Version dated 25 October 2026.

1. About the service and its owner

Fastreader / «Читай» is a personal project by Semyon Lobachevsky (Семён Лобачевский). These terms cover fastreader.ru, the reader, the @read_agent bot and the mini app in Telegram. For questions about the service, materials or these terms, contact the owner at hichnick@gmail.com. Read these terms before using the service. If these rules do not suit you, you can stop using the service and save your materials.

2. Features and cost

The service is designed for reading articles, notes and other texts. You can read the full text, use moving highlighting or word-by-word display, save your place and choose available additional features. The website accepts pasted text and TXT files; the bot accepts supported public articles, public posts and forwarded text. Import and narration availability depends on the source, browser, device and external services.

The current version is free: there are no payments or paid plans. Individual features have limits on size, frequency and shared resources. Free access does not mean unlimited availability of every feature. Current quotas and availability messages appear in the interface and are described in Data and analytics.

3. Acceptable use

Add your own texts or materials you are entitled to use and submit for the action you choose. A public link does not remove copyright protection or the source’s rules. Do not use the service to infringe rights, bypass paid access, evade source restrictions or circumvent data protection. Do not submit confidential information or other people’s personal data unless you have the right to have it processed in that way.

Do not attempt to access other users’ materials, bypass Telegram verification, evade quotas or circumvent technical safeguards. Do not create artificial load, send malicious requests or use the service for spam or other abuse. Technical safeguards may reject requests that exceed limits or threaten the operation of the service.

4. Rights in materials

Rights in original texts remain with their respective rights holders. Adding a material does not transfer exclusive rights to the service owner or authorise other users to distribute it. The service processes a material to the extent needed for the requested feature, as described in Data and analytics. Being able to read, explain or narrate a text does not grant new rights to publish it. Rights in the service itself and its design also remain with their respective rights holders.

5. Storage and backups

Texts added directly to the reader, reading positions and settings are stored in this browser on this device. Clearing site data, browser restrictions or a failed write may cause the local library to be lost. Keep your originals and use the file backup feature. A backup contains full texts: choose an appropriate place to store it and consider its contents before sharing it with anyone.

The website requires no registration; the bot and mini app require a Telegram account. The bot’s inbox is stored on the server, while the local Telegram library is separate from the website library. Texts, reading positions and settings do not sync automatically across devices or browsers. Deleting an item from the server inbox does not remove a copy already saved on a device; delete that copy separately.

6. Additional features and consent

Summaries and explanations are created at your request by sending the chosen material or passage to an external AI service. AI narration requires separate consent before text is sent; an available device voice is selected manually. The data section describes what is sent, retention periods, quotas and deletion options. Closing a window does not always cancel processing that has already started.

These terms do not replace separate consent to AI narration or optional analytics. Visiting a page or accepting these terms does not enable either automatically. Refusing analytics does not prevent basic reading. Withdrawing consent does not automatically delete data already processed by external services or every local copy.

7. Results and availability

AI summaries and explanations may contain errors or omissions; check them against the original. Narration may mispronounce words or repeat part of a passage after a pause. Display pace does not measure understanding. The service does not promise faster reading, improved memory or any other guaranteed outcome.

Temporary unavailability, technical errors and interruptions for updates are possible. Individual features depend on the network, browser, Telegram and external services. These limitations do not remove mandatory user rights or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory rules. If a problem occurs, contact support with the action you took and the error message; do not send secrets or private texts unnecessarily.

8. Changes to these terms

Updates are published on this page as a new dated version and apply to subsequent use of the service. You can review the current version before continuing. A change to these terms does not itself create payment obligations or provide consent to new forms of processing that require a separate user decision. Previously given separate consents are not automatically expanded.
